The MapBasic® development environment is a complete, BASIC-like programming language which may be used to create custom applications for use with MapInfo Professional® or special MapInfo RunTimes. MapBasic allows you to customise the geographic functionality of MapInfo Professional, automate repetitive operations, and integrate MapInfo Professional with other applications - quickly and easily.
RedMapper have developed a number of MapBasic Applications to enhance the MapInfo product. Plots4MI is a MapBasic routine, which 'sits' as an additional menu item on the MapInfo Main Menu to provide users with the easy and quick production of plots at specified scales. - (See Plots4MI page). The NSGtoTAB and NLPGtoTAB applications allow users to import standard CSV files and creates 'flat' tables so that all MapInfo users are able to view and interrogate the NSG or NLPG data. - (See NSGtoTAB/NLPGtoTAB pages).
